The North Norfolk Coast

Colourful highly personalised beach huts wait for a landscape artist in a curving
 decorative row,
the transient subtle luminescence of a deserted winter beach transfigured after
 a recent dusting of snow,
reminiscent of Monet, wild scarlet red poppies embroider a picturesque field of
 ripening golden wheat,
the distinct silver grey line on the distant horizon clearly delineates where open
  coastal skies and sea meet.

Sea lavender’s delicate amethyst purple flowers embellish a marsh landscape
untamed, flat and wide,
high on a sandy beach discarded tubular iridescent silver razor shells left by the
   previous high tide,
nature’s artistry evident by the transposing peaks, waves and water channels of
wind sculpted sand dunes,
the silver tinted silhouettes of resting geese on marshland are highlighted by a
   candescent full moon.

A freshening wind creates the metallic melody of dinghies’ metal rigging clinking
against aluminium masts,
resting on sandy beach weathered crab boats painted in bold primary colours, a
reminder of the coast’s fishing past,
perennial wind and waves carve shingle spits and silted islands surrounded by sea
  of cerulean blue,
the marsh’s colour palette subtly altering as light and shadows transpose as
itinerant clouds pass through.

The captivating wave choreography of feeding waders as twice daily the tide
 ebbs and flows,
the serenity of a watchful barn owl resting on a solitary wooden fencepost in
in characteristic pose,
the musical notes conveyed on tranquil wind of the evocative whistle of a vintage
   steam train,
with ever-changing light, weather, wide skies and tides in constant flux,
you never tire of this beautiful coastal terrain.
