Taking a BMW tourer with panniers to the Scottish Highlands,
riding along roads with stark rocky crags close to your side,
enjoying a sunlit summer’s day with dry roads and light wind,
smooth deserted winding roads making for a exhilarating ride.

The chrome V shaped transverse twin carburettor and distinctive
sound of the exhaust of a Harley Davison Fat Boy motorbike,
wearing a black leather jacket and jeans, an open face helmet and
wrap around sunglasses on a chrome and black customised trike.

The practised skill of speedway riders drifting the rear wheel of the
brake-less fast bikes around the floodlit curves of the oval dirt track,
the thunderous roar of the crowd as on the final straight the home
team narrowly take the lead, wearing racesuits of red and black.

At a vintage bike and car rally, a pristine restored Norton bike
and sidecar with a polished silver teardrop shaped petrol tank,
competing in the first TT race on the Isle of Mann watched by
formally dressed spectators standing on a grass roadside bank.

Triumph have built off roaders, tourers and racers, some models
displaying the eye-catching silver mouth organ fuel tank logo,
the Bonneville was named after world speed record attempts
at the linear salt flats reflecting a shimmering white heat glow.

A kaleidoscope of leathers’ racing colours as Yamaha, Ducati and
Kawasaki tensely line up on a Superbike race’s starting grid,
celebrating on the winner’s lap around the circuit with a power
wheelie after coming first in a successful championship bid.

Whether tucked behind a low windscreen on a sport’s bike or
relaxed on a tourer, classic or customised chopper in casual mode,
nothing comes close to a motorbike’s sensation of speed and freedom,
riding the challenging twists and turns of the course, track or road.
